  • The Western Stage has commissioned Hector Armienta to complete his music theater work, La Llorona/The
    Weeping Woman. It will premiere in  October 2008.
  • Armienta's chamber opera, Rio de Mujeres /River of Women will be performed in fall of 2008 by Opera Cultura
