| news Updates - Join me on facebook or twitter. I'm working on several projects and would like to hear your thoughts as I develop them. August 2010 I recently received a commission from the Oakland Youth Symphony (OYO). The work will be written for orchestra and mariachi. One of the goals of the project is to connect young people from the Latino community to orchestral music. Kudos to OYO for its vision. June 2010 La Llorona, part III of my music theater trilogy ( Ancient Waters) had a reading at NYC's acclaimed off Broadway Theater, the York Theater. Had an amazing cast, director and music director. In less than two weeks of rehearsals, they made it happen. Thank you! La Llorona received an NEA grant in artistic excellence in 2008 and was produced by Western Stage Theater under the artistic leadership of Jon Selover. Below is a picture from the NYC reading. |
