RIVER OF WOMEN/RIO DE MUJERES  A Chamber Opera

1940's - A small town in Texas, close to the Great River. 

 

Paula dreams of escaping the rural life of the river, but is thwarted by her family and her culture. In the end, the spirit of the River and La Llorona take from her what she loves most - her only daughter. 

 

Sung in English with some phrases in Spanish.
